Imaginalis began as an innovative start-up in Calenzano (FI) in 2013, with the aim of using its innate aptitude for human and veterinary interventional radiology to develop cutting-edge technology for the medical diagnostics industry. Imaginalis is the natural product of a temporary consortium (ATS) brought together to work on the network project MILORDS, which was co-financed by the Tuscany Region.
The project saw the collaboration of a diverse partnership coordinated by El.En. SpA, and included companies in the Tuscan opto-mechatronic cluster, as well as prestigious research institutions such as the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna in Pisa, the CNR-IFAC in Sesto Fiorentino, UNIFI, and UNIPI.
Imaginalis’ Vision is to develop imaging technology that respects people and the planet while ensuring patients remain the focus of the medical services industry.
Our Mission is to develop new 2D and 3D imaging platforms that are mobile, ergonomic with regard to patient safety and operator usability, and consume less energy.
We create innovative medical and veterinary radiology scanners that are essentially hybrid platforms that integrate CT, fluoroscopy, and direct digital radiology.
We design and manufacture all of our machines at our new plant in Sesto Fiorentino, which gives us the freedom to put our ideas into practice in the best possible way, allowing us the flexibility we require to satisfy needs not yet met by conventional solutions.
Imaginalis belongs to the US group, Epica International. Epica distributes products to the Americas and Australia, while Imaginalis serves the European, African, and Asian markets.
We provide technical assistance both directly and through local providers, continuously monitoring our systems via an Internet connection.
Imaginalis’ consolidated design and development skills allow us to manufacture innovative diagnostic devices that are customer-focused and help to radically simplify workflows.
